"bug" came form many years ago when an IBM team could not find what is wrong with their computer until they eventually found a dead bug shorting some contact. So if you want to be religious about it, bug should refer to hardware unexpected problem, but every programmer is programing ‘bugs’ – and if they tell you they do not, you see a lier in front of you.
