The overall premise of my project is getting a wii remote to track finger movements…that’s not my problem though, I can do that. What I need help with is getting some sort of measurable data out of it so it will be an actual "science fair" project. Any suggestions?
It sounds as though you will be trying to measure positional accuracy, response time and resolution.
Could you set up a sort of wire-frame model to define points in real space that you could accurately measure, point at and compare the reported position?
What is the smallest amplitude of wavy line that you could trace out that is recognized as being other than straight?
How quickly / accurately can it follow a moving target?
Could you attach a laser pointer pen to the remote, aim it at a target with the laser covered, based on its reported position and then measure the error when you uncover the laser?
Like seriously it bugs me when i don’t know who looks at my profile
so does anyone know a FREE tracker that’s easy to use?
Most the trackers i find you have to pay, and why would i waste my
money on it?
Nope, because it’s against myspace’s terms of service and therefore illegal, much like downloading copyrighted music free off the internet (not to say the former has been as proliferant.)
If you are so curious to know who is visiting your own profile due to your unstable insecurity issues, I suggest you make your own social networking site, convince people to join you, and there you can implement your own tracking methods on the backend.
If software bugs are inevitable, or at least to be expected depending on the complexity of the code, what steps can people relying on computer programs take to deal with the bugs
NEVER use a Beta version or the first release of any software, especially an operating system.
Before you buy, research known compatiibility issues on computer sites.
my parents are really nosy, and they have hinted that they read my IMs as well. im wondering about a few things.
1. what are a couple well-known IM tracking softwares that are downloadable on regular home computers?
2. if one of those were on my computer, could i tell? if so, how?
3. what are some ways i can keep my parents from reading my IMs, and protect my online conversations??
THANKS a million to all answers!
Most of the software people can use to track your IMs work by "sniffing packets" basically reading everything sent from your computer to the internet and vice-versa.
These sorts of software take some skill to use, so if neither of your parents are an IT specialist, they’re most likely bluffing.
If they’re not lying, here’s how they’re most likely doing it:
On most programs, like AIM 6.5, messages are logged in your computer’s hard drive. They’re easily recallable through some quick browsing. However, I believe you can turn this feature off. Just look through the options of your IM application and uncheck somthing like "Write Conversations to hard disk" or "save conversations" or maybe "Log conversations".
Fight back for your privacy, it’s some thing to preserve.
At first i wanted to do my Senior Project on technology’s effect on musical development, but that was turning into too much of a history report instead of being analytical. I want my project to be making a sample track or a techno/trance/house song, but i don’t know what to do my written report on. It should be something that can be analyzed, not just a relaying of facts.
check out acid music studio (there is a free version).
Then go to my youtube page: look up iamadeathgod666
for instruction of how to use it.
I had a bunch of articles on various electrnica styles on my site acidhedz, but it got hacked a while back and I’ve had to start over again.
Ok I posted a question yesterday about this and I’m posting another one because its really bugging me now.
He messaged me saying ‘I miss you’ and then messaged me another night for a fair bit just talking and stuff, being heaps nice. Then he said talk to you tomorrow….and never even messaged back.
I decided not to message him to avoid sounding desperate/like I care too much, and he hasn’t messaged back.
Theres also msn too, but I haven’t bothered to say hello.
Now I just really want to know if theres something I did! I looked at his myspace page a few times….honestly what are the chances he has a profile tracker?
If he cares then why didn’t he message back? and why wouldn’t he say hi on msn?
now hes just got me confused, and its not like I can message him now.
I’ve heard theres a few trackers that do work….
I just don’t know whether to leave it or talk to him and find out whats going on? otherwise I’ll be wondering kind of thing..
but if I text him or talk to him and it was just an in the moment thing for a few days then it will look like I care!! and hes doesn’t…
thanks, the first answer was good. Cat and mouse game will die out.
It seems like you both care for each other. Be honest and tell him how you feel. Stop playing this cat and mouse game or else its going to die out real fast.
Also, don’t worry about the profile tracker. You’re just going over the top.
There sure is.
If you want a free antivirus go to: http://free.grisoft.com/
It’s a very good but basic free antivirus.
If you think there is a specific file that is infected go to: www.virustotal.com/ and scan the file.
It’s one of the best free online scanners.
Goodluck!
I have been bugged all night by tracking cookie 2o7 , Adnite , yield manager and a few others , this never happened till i installed Mozilla Firefox , but some mention Windows too , How do i rid of tracking cookies , i have Avg , Spy Sweeper , Avira on standbye if i need it and all the windows defender etc. , plz help , Eric
Hello,
Download Spyware Doctor & do a Scan. It will detect & remove them all.
Tracking Cookies aren’t exactly harmful to your computer. They just are really annoying and and can invade your privacy. By invade your privacy, I mean some tracking cookies can track what you do on the internet and what you type in. Some are more like spyware & are bad. Though there not as bad as virus’s or anything.
Spyware Doctor, (it’ll get rid of all cookies.) Download it at- http://www.download.com/Spyware-Doctor-Starter-Edition/3000-8022_4-10704508.html?tag=lst-3&cdlPid=10816516l
Also try Ccleaner, -http://www.download.com/CCleaner/3000-2144_4-10315544.html?tag=lst-1&cdlPid=10837066
I’ve had a lot of tracking cookies on my computer, & it Sucks!
I spent weeks trying to get rid of them.
GOOD LUCK ^_^
This is my webcam tracking project. I wrote a simple program that reads input from the webcam and locates the position of one or more coloured markers.

http://packages.debian.org/sid/developers-reference – - or may not really be of general interest ( for instance, a flavor of Debian built with gcc bounds checking). It will also enable Debian to recompile entire distributions quickly. The buildds admins of each arch can be contacted at the mail address arch@buildd.debian.org. 5.10.4. When your package is not portable Some packages still have issues with building and/or working on some of the architectures supported by Debian, and cannot be ported at all, or not within a reasonable amount of time. An example is a package that is SVGA-specific (only available for i386 and amd64), or uses other hardware-specific features not supported on all architectures. In order to prevent broken packages from being uploaded to the archive, and wasting buildd time, you need to do a few things: * First, make sure your package does fail to build on architectures that it cannot support. There are a few ways to achieve this. The preferred way is to have a small testsuite during build time that will test the functionality, and fail if it doesn’t work. This is a good idea anyway, as this will prevent (some) broken uploads on all architectures, and also will allow the package to build as soon as the required functionality is available. Additionally, if you believe the list of supported architectures is pretty constant, you should change any to a list of supported architectures in debian/ control. This way, the build will fail also, and indicate this to a human reader without actually trying. * In order to prevent autobuilders from needlessly trying to build your package, it must be included in packages-arch-specific, a list used by the wanna-build script. The current version is available as http:// cvs.debian.org/srcdep/ Packages-arch-specific?cvsroot= dak; please see the top of the file for whom to contact for changes. Please note that it is insufficient to only add your package to Packages-arch-specific without making it fail to build on unsupported architectures: A porter or any other person trying to build your package might accidently upload it without noticing it doesn’t work. If in the past some binary packages were uploaded on unsupported architectures, request their removal by filing a bug against ftp.debian.org 5.11. Non-Maintainer Uploads (NMUs) Under certain circumstances it is necessary for someone other than the official package maintainer to make a release of a package. This is called a non-maintainer upload, or NMU. This section handles only source NMUs, i.e. NMUs which upload a new version of the package. For binary-only NMUs by porters or QA members, please see Section 5.10.2.1, Recompilation or binary-only NMU . If a buildd builds and uploads a package, that too is strictly speaking a binary NMU. See Section 5.10.3.3, wanna-build for some more information. The main reason why NMUs are done is when a developer needs to fix another developer’s package in order to address serious problems or crippling bugs or when the package maintainer is unable to release a fix in a timely fashion. First and foremost, it is critical that NMU patches to source should be as non-disruptive as possible. Do not do housekeeping tasks, do not change the name of modules or files, do not move directories; in general, do not fix things which are not broken. Keep the patch as small as possible. If things bother you aesthetically, talk to the Debian maintainer, talk to the upstream maintainer, or submit a bug. However, aesthetic changes must not be made in a non-maintainer upload. And please remember the Hippocratic Oath: Above all, do no harm. It is better to leave a package with an open grave bug than applying a non-functional patch, or one that hides the bug instead of resolving it. 5.11.1. How to do a NMU NMUs which fix important, serious or higher severity bugs are encouraged and accepted. You should endeavor to reach the current maintainer of the package; they might be just about to upload a fix for the problem, or have a better solution. NMUs should be made to assist a package’s maintainer in resolving bugs. Maintainers should be thankful for that help, and NMUers should respect the decisions of maintainers, and try to personally help the maintainer by their work. A NMU should follow all conventions, written down in this section. For an upload to testing or unstable, this order of steps is recommended: * Make sure that the package’s bugs that the NMU is meant to address are all filed in the Debian Bug Tracking System (BTS). If they are not, submit them immediately. * Wait a few days for the response from the maintainer. If you don’t get any response, you may want to help them by sending the patch that fixes the bug. Don’t forget to tag the bug with the patch keyword.
